Our collaborations with artists have included Daniel Barenboim, Jacqueline du Pré, Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, John Williams, Andrés Segovia, Nathan Milstein, Daniil Trifonov, Evgeny Kissin and Vladimir Ashkenazy.

We also have a series of films that focus on the ideas of the great composers: Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Paganini and Sibelius. Invariably, these films make the most of the composer’s own words to understand the mind behind the music.

Allegro Films was formed in 1968, as probably the first truly independent television production company in the United Kingdom and one which has remained at the forefront of television music programming ever since.
